She makes piano lessons fun, but also encourages students to move along in skills and knowledge, while having opportunities to check in and get feedback along the way. Emily has always done a great job communicating with students and their families. She also makes great efforts to offer opportunities (recitals) for students to play in public, and in a different format/environment, which makes them more comfortable playing in multiple settings. I highly recommend Emily as your child's (or your) piano lesson instructor. She is knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, and encouraging and our son really enjoyed his lessons with her."
