All About Me

My musical journey started in first grade when my mom enrolled me in piano lessons. I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of lessons at first, but I quickly grew to love the piano. After a couple years of piano lessons, I joined a local orchestra and learned how to play the violin as well. While I ended up playing the violin for six years in addition to continuing my piano studies, I also started learning how to play the harp which quickly grew to be one of my favorite instruments to play. Since then, I continued my piano and music studies through college (most notably studying with Dr. David Viscoli) while graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Music Industry from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
While I have performed for numerous events, my main passion lies in teaching. I have been teaching private lessons for several years, including through the St. Peter Community Education program in St. Peter, MN, at The Yellow Door Music Studio in Eagle Lake, MN, and at the Mankato School of Music in Mankato, MN before starting my own studio. During those years, I have taught students of all ages, from Pre-K all the way to retirement. It is my goal to create a positive and enriching environment so that you or your student always feels welcome and ready to learn.
